Animals are the part of nature. They are the precious gems of God. Animals carry a lot of importance in our lives. They offer humans with food and many other things. for instance, we consume meat, eggs, dairy products. Further, we use animals as a pet too.

They are of great help to handicaps. A lot of animal species exist in both, land and water. As a result, each of them has a purpose for their existence. The animals are divided into specific groups in subject Biology. Let's have a look into them.

Fish is an aquatic animal, they are mostly found in the sea, rivers, lakes, and oceans. Nowadays, people hunt fish for their daily bread, making business from it. There are various kinds of fish, be they small or large sizes and different shapes. Some people keep them at home as a sign of fortune.Fishes are very beautiful. The largest fish in the water is called whale which is the most dangerous.

There are also many species of whale fish such as blue whales, killer whales, pilot whales, etc. The most dangerous and the largest species among them is the Blue Whale. Its length is about 115 feet and it weighs up to 150 tons. The skin of the fish is very thick, which we know by the name of Balwar, it stores energy and protects their body. These fish eat small fish. The life span of these fishes is about 80 to 100 years. The biggest threat to whale fish is from humans because they are generally targeted by humans.

Amphibia

Amphibians are small vertebrates that need water, or a moist environment, to survive. The species in this group include frogs, toads, salamanders, and newts. All can breathe and absorb water through their very thin skin. Amphibians also have special skin glands that produce useful proteins.To warn potential predators, the most toxic amphibians are also the most brightly colored.

Curare [kyoo-RAW-ree], for example, is found on the skin of colorful poison dart frogs. Another special feature of most amphibians is their egg-larva-adult life cycle. The larvae are aquatic and free-swimming—frogs and toads at this stage are called tadpoles. At a certain size, the young develop limbs and lungs. Some also lose their tails. Eventually, they hop or climb out of the water as adults, and spend the rest of their lives on land. This process is known as metamorphosis.

Reptilia

Reptiles are vertebrate, or backboned animals constituting the class Reptilia and are characterized by a combination of features, none of which alone could separate all reptiles from all other animals. The characteristics of reptiles are numerous, therefore can not be explained in great detail in this report. In no special order, the characteristics of reptiles are: cold-bloodedness;

A reptile is an air-breathing animal that has scales instead of hair or feathers. Reptiles have lived on Earth for more than 280 million years. Scientists consider them to be the ancestors of birds and mammals. Over the years many kinds of reptiles have become extinct, or died out. The dinosaurs are well-known reptiles that became extinct about 65 million years ago. Today there are about 6,000 species, or types, of living reptile. They include snakes, turtles, alligators, and crocodiles.

Aves

Birds are very special animals that have particular characteristics which are common amongst all of them. For instance, all of them have feathers, wings and two legs. Similarly, all birds lay eggs and are warm-blooded. They are very essential for our environment and exist in different breeds.

Birds have different sizes and can be as small as 2 inches and as big as 2.75 metres. For instance, bee hummingbird (smallest) and ostrich (largest). Bird’s existence dates back to 160 million years ago. There are different types of birds that exist which vary in characteristics. For instance, there are penguins that cannot fly. Further, there are birds that are known for their intelligence like Parrots and Corvidae. Moreover, we have peacocks which are beautiful and symbolize rain and good weather. Next, there are bats and vultures as well.

Mammalia

Animals belonging to class Mammalia are referred to as mammals. Mammals are one of the most evolved species in the animal kingdom categorized under vertebrata. They exhibit advanced characteristics which set them apart from all other animals. They are characterized by the presence of mammary glands through which they feed their younger ones.

They are distributed worldwide and have adapted well to their surroundings – from oceans, deserts and polar regions to rainforests and rivers etc. Let us have a detailed look at the characteristics and classifications of the animals belonging to the class Mammalia. Mammals are warm-blooded animals who give birth to their younger ones.They are the most dominant form of animals found in almost all types of habitats. The fur of hair throughout the body which helps animals adapt to their environment. They are heterodont, i.e., possess different types of teeth.
